thursday: i got back to buffalo relatively early, so amanda and i got a workout in before it got too late. erika came over to hang out a bit, and ended up staying the night.
friday: ummm, i guess i worked! tho, i only worked about six hours since i put in a full day last monday (president’s day) that is technically an autodesk holiday. we did not do all that much later; amanda and lainie did their workouts, as did i earlier. i am giving my chest muscles a break since i strained my rib muscles or somesuch, and they are paining me. hopefully, they won’t take two months to heal up like they did when i shredded them a couple of years ago during my pneumonia/bronchitis debacle. however, the rest of the body is not going to get a reprieve from exercise.
lainie was beat and spent the night after their workout. we watched alien on dvd; it contained some new scenes and was slightly tweaked by the director. it is definitely a classic movie. it did not look dated at all. it may have been the first rated r movie that i consciously saw (i don’t recall when i saw jaws). amanda and lainie fell asleep during the first third of it, tho.
before we started the movie, we headed out to krispy kreme for a snack. saturday is amanda and lainie’s “cheat” day in their fitness program, so we had donuts at midnight.
saturday: lainie, amanda, and i worked out in the morning, and then we prepared for a wine and cheese party that we were hosting later in the evening. it was also a birthday party for lainie who was turning the magical age of 30 (sunday, technically). we had lunch at don pablos because amanda had been craving it. the party was fun, and hopefully all had a good time.
sunday: not much happened today as we slowly got out of bed and cleaned up after the party. we did a bit of idle shopping. i got more plates for our barbells. we worked in the evening. ra ra ra. after watching more of alien, amanda decided it would be too freaky for her to watch the rest of it, so we watched the mummy again instead whilst working.
monday: monday is still going on, and its time to get back to work…. piglet is sleeping soundly behind me on the heating pad and blanket i set up for her.
