today was one of those days where you don’t really know where it went (or course, usually that means i slept or did a whole lot of nothing). amanda’s mom left this morning after breakfast and then i proceeded to fall asleep (see?). at around one i managed to drag myself off to the gym for a couple of hours.
i stopped by wegmans before going back home to pick up some topical anethetic/analgesic for amanda. she did that trick of burning one self on the upper over rack whilst taking out something (french onion soup) from the lower rack. i ended up just getting some bactine since that was the only one that had lidocaine and not menthol as the active ingredient. later this evening i was joking that i also associated the smell of bactine with pain because it always hurt like hell when i used it as a kid (or, more like, when someone else used it on me). i didn’t hurt when amanda put it on in the afternoon, but it apparently hurt like hurt in the evening as the blister opened up of something. she is now a believer!
erika and dave (who apparently works for m&t but is thinking about going to optometry school) stopped by and to hang out and peruse or wedding pictures.
we had a bbq with carlos and karen for dinner (corn, portobellos, tomato salad, potato salad, and red newt wine) and went to dairy queen for dessert. we tried to jump start a guys car when leaving, but apparently there was something else wrong… it seemed like the starter since it sounded like it couldn’t turn over (but not from lack of power), but what do any of us know?
