the subaru’s brake light has been coming on intermittently over the past few days. i had attributed it to the fact that it had been sitting for a month, and the brakes were all nice and rusty. in fact, it took a while for the brakes to smooth out, but the brake light still turned on.
it didn’t seem like the parking brake was jammed, and the pads, rotors, and calipers look ok (but i didn’t take the wheels off). and now, of course, it is off again. i guess i should get the brake system checked regardless. it’s been quite a while since i had the pleasure of being in a car when the brakes have gone out.
when i was checking the brake fuild, i noticed that i did not have a oil filler cap anymore! the bums at bruce’s fast lane must have forgot to put it on. i just acquired a new one from autozone, but perhaps i shall get the delta sonic to do oil changes from now on.
