erika was lame the other day and did not come over to watch “animals are beautiful people“. she went off to the bar at toro and hung out with some other people. tho i am sure she would not have minded if we joined her.
karen got sick the other day with stomach pains. i went to wegmans late last night to get her some medicines. perhaps the stress of studying for the boards is taking its toll on her.
amanda takes them this tuesday, so today and tonight were the last serious studying that she will be doing. tomorrow she will just do a bit of review and relax before the exam.
the run to and around delaware park was kinda fun; i am going to try to wake up early tomorrow to do it again before i start working. i don’t think i can do it after work because i have to look for a pair of dark linen pants to wear during my official wedding in the canadian rockies… i was just going to wear my usual worn down hiking apparel, but apparently amanda is going to hike up a wedding dress (but not the one her mom made) to the location, so i need to wear something more appropriate.
since we are staying at the banff springs hotel for a couple of nights, it would also behove me to bring something more than my usual hiking crap. amanda found a good deal on rooms there (we will be staying at the hostel or a campground for most of the two weeks that we are in canada), but all the restaurants in the castle are all “resort casual”, which i do not think describes any of the clothes that i wear. i guess the people who normally go there aren’t all the interested with hiking about and just wish to be in the mountains (which, of course, was the reason why the hotel and its cousin in lake louise was built). the last time we were in banff, we merely went up to the front to look at it. it will be funny to actually stay in it.
