amanda, karen, and i just had a bbq in our backyard… ok, it’s really our parking lot. we had grilled portobellos, grilled zuchini + red and green peppers + mushrooms on skewers, corn on the cob, and potatoes. i also made a chilled, fruity dessert soup from strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, lemon and orange juice, a sweet rose wine (kat knapp from knapp vineyards), and fresh basil. it was all quite yummy.
amanda and i went to the boulevard mall earlier to look for some linen pants for me for our vacation. i was not too hopeful, but we found some nice, inexpensive drawstring ones at express men’s (formally structure, which i always thought was a silly name for a clothing store, but they still have the column motif going on). we also picked up a nicer pair that i may pack up the mountain for our wedding, tho now i think i will just pack the drawstrings ones because they look cooler.
amanda was amused when i tried on one pair of pants that looked ok except for one area; if i had a picture taken of me, it would not look out of place on this website. i ended up getting a larger size :) :) :).
karen also thought the linen pants looked nice, so before the bbq we went back to the mall with her so that she could get a pair for carlos.
amanda is now doing some last minute studying for the medical boards, whilst i do not know what i should do (other than type this entry in twice because i lost the first one). i probably should inventory the hiking gear i here to see if if anything is missing.
