amanda and i dropped by the hertel-parker liquor store the saturday night looking for her new favorite cheap white wine whose name is escaping me. the two guys there clearly very underwhelmed with their evening and were talking about all kinds of things… women, coworkers, their bosses, etc. amanda asked them if they ever got bored, and one replied “yes, as a matter of fact, we are right now.” amanda suggested that since we had just bought over four liters of cheap wine that they get together with her later this evening. that seemed to take them aback, but perhaps they would have been more receptive had i not been there.
we also helped karen and carlos put together some ikea furniture. werdly enough, they seemed to have a lot of the same stuff we have. they even bought the same microwave (but in white instead of black. they only got white because black was not available).
we went rollerblading for the first time this year at delaware park. i am considerably better at it than i was last year even with the winter layoff. they still hurt the arches of my feet though, so some tweaking is still in order. the buffalo at the nearby zoo were not as interested in us as they usually are.
erika came over and watched the new matrix dvd as she is a big fan. she had just gotten back from her “golden weekend”… the one a month she has both weekend days off from residency. she went to nyc to visit a guy; the same one mentioned in a previous post whom i still do not recall his name. i borrowed 10 gallon fish tank from her to ease moving the goldfish and catfish when i get back to ithaca.
i have not written a haiku in a while. i know; i’m lame.
